In the past I have written about “Save More Tomorrow,”, an innovative plan that uses the principles of behavioral finance to help people increase their retirement savings over time. Here is a link to my prior post, titled “Use the ‘Wimpy’ Savings Plan to Increase Your Savings Rate“.
I recently ran across an interesting TED talk by Shlomo Benartzti, a behavioral finance professor and one of the architects of the “Save More Tomorrow” plan. The video is called “Saving For Tomorrow, Tomorrow.” It is a great introduction to the “Save More Tomorrow” plan and to some of the basic principles of behavioral finance. It is about 18 minutes long and well worth the time. Watch it and then share it with others you think it might help.
